Vantage Power becomes UK National Winner of Shell Springboard Award
On 14th May the six winners of 3 regional Shell Springboard heats came together in London to compete to be the overall UK winner of the Shell Springboard Award.
Each company had their businesses put to the test by a panel of highly experienced judges from a range of fast growth businesses, large corporations, academia and the low carbon sector.
After a gruelling session of presentation and questions, Vantage Power demonstrated to the judges their innovation, business model and potential to have a large impact on the CO2 emissions of the transport sector. Competition was extremely stiff with the other competitors putting forward strong businesses revolving around smart grid management, wave energy generation, off-grid power generation, bio-coal and home ventilation.
Vantage Power were honoured to receive the award from the Shell UK Chairman, Ed Daniels, (left) and Rt. Hon. Vince Cable, Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills (right).
